How can I control the variability of the recruitment in my trial (in a region or country)?
For every trial modeled in the N-SIDE Supply App, each country needs to be a part of at least one global recruitment floor, that will be used as the recruitment target. Otherwise, you will receive an ERROR message and you will not be able to run your plan.
However, adding a cap or floor can also be used as a way to reduce variability in the recruitment for a region or country by further constraining it. This can be useful if you would like to cap the variability in number of patients recruited and therefore lower the quantities to be produced or shipped to a given depot. However, only do this if you are sure that this is also a constraint that will be applied in real life as the IMP release plan and recommended depot management will only cover the max recruitment figures in that region.
