1. Better model the production plan reality by considering known lot allocations to demands

Previously, fixed allocations from lots to demands had to be removed from the Production App, leading to time-consuming post-processing of results.

With Production.2023.2, you can now:

  • Keep your complete inventory and demand horizon in the Production App

  • Specify which lots should be used to meet specific demands

1.1. Allocate lots to a specific quantity of demand

new “Allocation” view has been added to the “Demands” table (see image below).

From this view, you can click on the pen button (see image above) in the “Allocated lots” column to open a side panel (see image below).

Prod.2023.2.1_2

From this side panel, you can select one or several lots to allocate to the demand. Three different tables are part of this side panel and contain the available lots from each of the three possible sources: initial inventories, imported inventories, frozen productions.

You can allocate lots of the product requested in the demand or lots of any upstream product that is part of the manufacturing chain of the requested product: from its first component (DS) to the requested product.

Thanks to this ability to consider known lot allocations to demands you can now analyze more complete optimization results.

The allocated quantities and the “lot to demand” allocations are available in the Result report, the Allocation chart and the Result dashboard.
