Link to Supply.2023.3. release notes
As Supply.2023.3. and 2023.4 were released in a short timeframe, you might have missed release notes for Supply.2023.3. Here is the link.
Highlight (Supply.2023.4)
Benefit from a refined resupply algorithm for your IMP release plan recommendations.
1. Benefit from a refined resupply algorithm for your IMP release plan recommendations
The N-SIDE Supply App resupply algorithm was refined to enhance its performance and accommodate supply chain features below:
-
IMP releases with short shelf lives
-
Shelf life requirements on shipments (e.g., 12 months remaining shelf life constraint)
As a consequence, starting from this version (Supply.2023.4), after running a previous plan or performing a new reevaluation, you may observe differences in:
-
IMP release plan recommendations for optimized quantities.
-
Frequency of shipments and quantity of kits sent.
These differences may positively impact your trial KPIs which may reflect decreased waste and lower budget compared to previous simulations using Supply.2023.3 or earlier.
1.1. Which trials benefit the most from this improved algorithm?
-
Trials that use IMP with short shelf lives.
-
Trials with remaining shelf life constraints at depots.
✅ Good practice
For results generated with Supply.2023.4, if you observe a waste metrics decrease compared to a result generated with an older version, you can re-launch simulations for that previous result. You can then compare the waste metrics of the two results which should help you verify if this decrease is related to the change in the algorithm or not.
1.2. How to identify results generated with the previous algorithm
Easily identify results ran under the previous algorithm through a banner (with a link to the release notes) in the “Result overview” (see image below).
