What if patient groups have different visit schedules?

In some cases, patient groups could have different visit schedules where, for example, one of the patient groups could go through less visits than the other(s).

Even though the system does not allow the visit schedule to differ between patient groups, you could still model this different visit schedule by using skipped visits.

Let’s take an example where we have two patient groups (cohorts in this case) and the second patient group only go through half the dispensing visits compared to the first patient group. To summarize, “cohort A” has 8 dispensing visits and “cohort B” has 4. As we cannot define a visit schedule per patient group, we will use skipped visits for “cohort B”.

To know more on how to enter skipped visits, please refer to this article: How to enter patient evolution probabilities

As “cohort B” will skip visits between visit 4 and “end of treatment” (EOT) visit, we will define skipped visits from visit 4 (“from visit” column) to visit EOT (“to visits” column) with a probability of 100% (see screenshots below).
