Overage
You can find two views in this sheet: Overage and Waste computation.
Overage
You can find detailed information about the overage thanks to a breakdown per package type.
The chart on the left shows the minimum (line), average (dot), and maximum (line) overage per package type. These values depend on the forecasted demand and the forecasted kits to be produced.
The table on the top right provides the figures supporting the chart.
Finally, the table at the bottom right summarizes the computation of the overage by providing the amount of kits wasted and the amount of kits demanded.
Definitions and data meaning:
-
Overage: for each package type the overage corresponds to the proportion of quantities wasted in relation to the total demand. In other words, it corresponds to (future # packages wasted / future # packages demanded) * 100.
Waste computation
You can find detailed information on quantities wasted per package type.
The chart on the left displays past and future productions, stocks and past and future dispensing per package type.
📝 Note
You have to first select a package type for the chart to appear.
On the right, the table displays the quantities wasted computed from the other data in the table.
ℹ️ Packages wasted = packages produced - packages dispensed
If there is no past production: packages produced are the sum of the packages produced after simulation start date and the stock in the initial state.
If there is at least one past production: packages produced are the sum of the packages produced after simulation start date and past productions (before simulation start date).
Future cost
Global budget
In this view, you can find information regarding the budget expected for the trial.
The donut chart on the left shows the budget breakdown per cost category. Above the chart, you can see the future total estimated cost for the trial. Note that this number and the donut chart adapt according to the selections you make in filters and/or in the table.
The table on the right provides timing details for each cost category. Note that the time step can be changed with the green buttons on the top (year, quarter, month).
Users can filter per package type and per temperature type. Please note that filters only work with compatible cost categories (e.g. temperature type is relevant only for the category shipping and storage).
Definitions and data meaning:
The definitions for some of the values/concepts used in this sheet are as follows:
-
Material: it includes the fixed production cost (per production batch), the variable production cost (per unit produced, including manufacturing and labeling).
-
Shipping: cost of shipments (to sites and depots).
-
VAT & custom fees: cost related to VAT & custom fees linked to the shipments to different countries.
-
Storage: future cost of storage for all kits (on sites and depots).
-
Returns: costs related to returns.
-
Missed visits: costs related to missed visits.
-
Out of stocks: costs related to out of stocks.
VAT & custom fees
In this view, you can see detailed information about VAT & custom fees.
The bar chart on top shows the evolution of the custom fees distribution in time. On the left you will find a pie chart representing the contribution of each country to the total custom fees for the trial. Note that both charts adapt according to the selections you make in filters and/or in the table. The table on the right summarizes all the information with detailed data per country.
User can filter per location and per package type.
Definitions and data meaning:
The definitions for some of the values/concepts used in this sheet are as follows:
VAT & custom fees: cost related to VAT & custom fees linked to the number of kits sent to different countries.

Please note that this category includes custom fees applied on the number of kits shipped and may neglect those related to the number shipments. The latter being included in the shipping cost. |
